Kawasaki ER-6n ABS and Suzuki SV650N

Fuel consumption: 1 ltr / 20.68 km (= 4.84 ltr/100 km)

The first big trip with the ER-6n. With a new bike it's always uncertain whether all the luggage will fit on the bike. It did fit on the ER, but the big canoo bag has the tendency to move forward under hard braking. I have to come up with a solution for that before the next big trip.

July 2, I had been riding around with a nail in my rear tyre, but now it looked like it was gone and the tyre was deflating fast. So I decided to repair the tyre . I took out the tyre repair kit and got going. The needle did not go in very well, I had to really force it. And I broke about 3 plugs before I finally thought the repair was done.



July 2, not all roads are paved in Slovenia.


July 3, the rear tyre was deflated again! I had to find a new one. According to the people in the campsite I shouldgo to Udine in Italy. I called up the emergency service in Holland and got an address of a Kawasaki dealer near Udine. But that shop was closed (it was monday). The Yamaha dealer 1 km down the road directed me to a tyre shop. And there it became obvious why the repair went so bad. The nail was still in there! It was at an unusual angle. So i had made an extra hole that I plugged. And the plugs broke because they were forced over the (sharp) edge of the nail
